Vehicles and Equipment:
All of our ambulances meet federal KKK-A-1182 ambulance specifications and all state specifications. All of our ambulances are ALS certified.

Donald Martens and Sons provides in-house vehicle maintenance that ensures a safe and reliable fleet. We have daily inspections and preventative maintenance on a scheduled basis. Back up vehicles and supplies are replaced at the end of each shift.

Services we provide:

• Transit Van: Special event and patient passengers.

• Ambulette: Employees are trained in CPR and Basic First Aid.

• BLS: for both emergency and non-emergency stretcher transport of a patient who is either temporarily or permanently non-ambulatory and unable to be transported via wheelchair. This patient has no special needs other than oxygen.

• Advanced Life Support: provides both emergency and non emergency stretcher transport to patients requiring basic IV and/or cardiac monitoring and definitive respiratory care.

• Mobile Intensive Care Unit: staffed with a Registered Nurse and a Critical Care Paramedic, provides stretcher transport to the following:

Any critical care patient transferring to another acute facility for continued care at an equal or higher level. This includes medical, surgical, and/or trauma of adults and pediatric patients.

Any patient requiring monitoring of invasive lines, i.e. swan ganz, cvp, icp and/or arterial line.

Advanced airway management: Intubated patient and/or Ventilator dependants as well as management of chest tubes.

Any patient who's condition warrants travel with a registered nurse.
