About the role
As an EMS Field Manager, you’ll oversee day-to-day field operations to ensure safe, efficient, and high-quality emergency medical services. You’ll serve as the bridge between field staff and leadership—supporting crews, managing incidents, and driving continuous improvement.
Your leadership will ensure that operations run smoothly, vehicles are properly staffed and maintained, and that each patient receives the level of care Martens EMS is known for. You’ll play a key role in upholding the company’s mission, policies, and values.
Supervise and support EMTs, Paramedics, and field staff during shifts.
Lead with integrity and teamwork, inspiring your crew to stay mission-focused and supported.
Coordinate with dispatch to ensure unit readiness and timely response coverage.
Monitor crew performance, documentation accuracy, and compliance with company and state standards.
Conduct regular vehicle and equipment inspections to ensure operational readiness.
Provide coaching, feedback, and field training to help staff develop professionally.
Manage with scheduling, staffing adjustments, and resource deployment as needed.
Investigate incidents, patient care concerns, and vehicle accidents as directed.
Enforce policies and procedures while maintaining a supportive, team-oriented environment.
Represent the company professionally in interactions with hospitals, first responders, and the public.
What You’ll Need
Current EMT certification or above.
Minimum 3–5 years of EMS field experience, with at least 1 year in a leadership or supervisory role preferred.
Valid Ohio driver’s license and insurable driving record.
Strong leadership, communication, and interpersonal skills.
Ability to remain calm and decisive under pressure.
Working knowledge of EMS operations, scheduling, and safety protocols.
Basic computer proficiency (reporting, scheduling, ePCR systems).
